BACKYARD CONSERVATION: Free Program about how to Make Your
Landscape Grow in Harmony with Nature
Presented by Laura and Mike Jackson, educators, environmentalists and photographers. Retired
schoolteachers, the Jacksons serve as PA Forest Stewards, watershed monitors and organizers of Save Our
Allegheny Ridges. They have worked to enhance their 113-acre property for wildlife, and recently donated it
through a conservation easement to the Western PA Conservancy.

All attendees will receive a native plant or seeds.

The Fulton County Library Teen Advisory Board will be meeting at the Pump Station Road entrance to the old Pennsylvania Turnpike for a bike ride on Sunday, September 29, at 3 p.m. Please bring a bicycle as well as a flashlight or headlamp to help navigate the tunnels. Registration/liability forms will be available and will require parental signature for events held during the 2013-14 school year. All teens between ages 13 and 19 are welcome to attend.
