The January 8th meeting will introduce professional artists to the Arts In Education (AIE) program. AIE places qualified artists in classrooms and community organizations for residencies – typically, 20 days long. Artists collaborate with the classroom teacher or program director to use their art form to teach curriculum. During the meeting, staff will review how artists can apply to become a teaching artist with AIE. stARTSomething is a regional program of the PA Council on the Arts and the Cultural Alliance. Open to the public, artists in whatever medium, (dancers, poets, musicians, etc.) are encouraged to apply. Free.
