You can make a difference in the life of a senior!  Do you want to help reach out to seniors who may not know where to turn? Join us in a program that teaches you how to reach out to seniors by providing them with information on how to recognize the signs of depression, anxiety, substance abuse and more.  This is not a counseling program.  You will be a resource to assist seniors in knowing where to turn for help.  Presented by the Pennsylvania Behavioral Health and Aging Coalition.  Please register by calling (717) 541-4219, ext. 106, or sign up online at www.olderpa.org.  Open to the public.  Free.  A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Jan 31 @ 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm

This workshop focuses on your projects, in your own way and in your own time.  You can do anything you can bring the setup for – materials and supplies.  You will receive support and help from students and teacher, and learn how to work more creatively and effectively toward your own goals.  Open to the public, but please sign on in the library with subject (if possible) and which form of art you are pursuing.

Current students are working in watercolor, fabric arts, and drawing.  Demonstration classes have been held in papermaking, book arts, tile arts, food art, floral art and watercolor.  If enough students show an interest, demonstration classes in a particular medium will be added.
